Alysa Liu was born via surrogacy to a single father, and his motives are questionable
Americanthinker ^

Her father decided to have her born by way of an anonymous egg donor and a surrogate mother.

His obsession about having a figure skating daughter was clear: ‘I spared no money, no time,’

Alysa was intentionally created for a single-parent household; she will never know what it means to have a mother. Is this a fair and ethical decision to make?

The fathers' motives-Something tells me there is an element of it in a lot of men. Women too. A caucasian egg donor would make up for the Asian lack of height as well as the flat chests, noses and butts. Don't forget the eyes. Hitler had his ideas of the Aryan race and the rest of the world follows in too many ways. Unlike most guys this fella had the money to do it his way. Now France is promoting the freezing of women's eggs before they get too old. Something tells me we can see the future in these acts and not-so-subtle attitudes.

This isn’t necessary. Do we always have to pick apart someone elses life who has done well?

Are we just assuming the mother was fertile, and bypassed, yet raised the kids anyway? Seems unlikely.

Who are you to pass judgement? Would the world be a better place without her? What a stupid premise for an article.

A French woman at 29 can continue working and become a loving mom when she’s more stable financially. Then look at all the medical students profiles with whom she chooses to pick out-not knowing him. I’d think most guys wouldn’t give up their sperm for that but there’s plenty of it to go around for the few of those that do.

If that French woman goes for it in her 40’s she’ll need a lot more than money. Older parents make parenthood tougher. She’ll still be alone with her cats and no man. That points to government getting more involved in the continuation of society.

China is known for its lack of women due to the one-child laws. The chances of finding the right woman there were low. It is not strange for a man to want children.

Who cares? Leftists (gay men) do it all the time.

I thought that was Eileen Gu, not Alysa Liu.

Me? I’m not judging. Premise? It did happen. It’s fact. It’s happening in different forms all over the world. Partner selection without the laboratory.

**Do we always have to pick apart someone else’s life who has done well?**

People with money do it their own way. This guy had it. Good for him.

Should have done something about it back then. But it’s too late baby now it’s too late.

Clearly, Susan Quinn (the article’s writer) seems a bit jealous and judgmental. Alysa’s dad has done a wonderful job of raising a happy, well-adjusted accomplished daughter. And I suspect he did commendable selection of a quality egg donor. All IMHO, of course.

What do you know about women who never knew their biological mothers? There are usually plenty of people to play a maternal role in a girl’s life, and I know that from my personal experience.

As for the rest, you’ve simply imagined a critique to fit a subject you know very little about. (I don’t think the average Chinese person has an issue over ‘flat chests, noses and butts’ They have their own concepts and ideals of beauty. Jeez...)

I thought that was Eileen Gu, not Alysa Liu.

They're both genetically engineered test tube "Human 2.0" babies.

It's gonna be a brave new world!

Both women have mixed race backgrounds. Gu’s mother and Lui’s father were born in China.

So what?

This kind of rancid commentary is uncalled for.

We are not Nazi Germany demanding bloodline purity.

In general the bloodlines of Americans are a swamp of DNA from all around the world.

Some mixtures and backgrounds do well, some do not.

This young girl deserves accolades for what she has acheived, not back fence gossip about her origin and life.

Propagation by contract was created once The State forced marriage into a government contract and inserted itself into each of them.

It's no longer man and wife but wife and wife, husband and husband, donors and carrier, etc.
