If people have property when they die, who should inherit it? You can't take it with you.
Increased inequality reduces government's concern for the general welfare.
The public owns all natural resources in common and no one deserves more than an equal share of their fruits. The Alaskan oil dividend could be a model here.

One of the reasons we’re the wealthiest country in the history of the world is because we allow people to keep the ‘fruits of their labor’...
This plan reminds me too much of the collective farms ideas - where we all share in the work and there aren’t any rich farmers... we all have food. How many millions of people starved to death in Russia and China over that insanity?
We can come up with better ideas and saner incentives but this one is not the one or the way.

The concentration of wealth and power is evil. This was God’s plan, not implanted as he instructed so it happens in other ways.

Any time I hear about an increased in the inheritance tax, including this 100% rate, I wonder how the Camelot Criminals have stayed rich through multiple generations being subject to a 50%+ death tax.
