Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich argued Gov. JB Pritzker got "outplayed and outflanked" as the Chicago Bears look to leave the state for Indiana.
On Thursday, an Indiana House panel approved legislation to help finance a potential new NFL stadium for the team. The facility could be constructed near Wolf Lake in Hammond, Indiana, just across the state border.
"The Indiana legislature did what it did, and it caught our governor asleep," Blagojevich said Saturday on "Fox & Friends Weekend."
"Governor Pritzker really is guilty of gubernatorial malpractice, and this isn't the first time a major business is about to leave Illinois," he added.
Blagojevich blamed the blue state's high taxes as a reason the team may be considering the move, noting other major companies like Boeing and Tyson Foods that have already left.
"He [Pritzker] spent $3 billion on illegal immigrants, migrants, and apparently doesn't have the money or has paid the attention to try to keep the Bears in Illinois," he said.

He went to prison for gubernatorial malpractice, so he knows what he's talking about.
It’s not unprecedented for NFL teams to have name of one city and play in another city or state.
The NY Giants and Jets play in New Jersey.
The LA Rams and Chargers don’t play in Los Angeles.
The Miami Dolphins play don’t play in Miami.
And the potential new Bears home stadium is only 25-30 minutes from Chicago
It must be an Illinois Law that every governor must go to prison after their term is up.
I’m sure i’m missing something with all of this. Is all this consternation about how the Bears might move to nearby Indiana? What’s up with that? Doesn’t Illinois come out ahead financially? If they’re not having to spend billions subsidizing a new stadium for the Bears?
Apparently, Indiana is willing to subsidize this.
Or to look at that at another way, is it a good idea for a state,such as Illinois, which is broke, to subsidize an NFL team?
Indiana is not that far away from Chicago. The southeast boundary of the city of Chicago is the Illinois-Indiana state line. Someone observed that this proposed stadium location is closer to downtown Chicago , than another site in Arlington Heights , Illinois, which the Bears had been considering.
Many teams do not play within the city limits of the city they represent.
Well, as I said originally, I’m sure I’m missing something here as to why this would be such a big deal , to move a few miles and it happens to be in another state.
Indiana has a lower flat state income tax rate (about 3%) than Illinois (4.95%), though Indiana counties may add local income taxes.
I’m sure the Bears players want to move to Indiana to pay less taxes.

They say that the real reason Blago was run out of office is because he would not raise taxes like the gluttonous theives in the General Assembly wanted him to.

I really wish that people on the right would quit playing the Blue State Red State game. Blue is a conservative color and red is the color of communism. The left media brilliantly outflanked the rest of us by claiming blue knowing full well that they were as red as the communist Chinese. Now people on the right willingly play as the red team. The only way to stop it is to stop using the color descriptions.
Blagojevich did not do anything that warranted him being put in prison. He was the Governor who had the power to appoint the senator who would replace Barack Obama. When he didn’t go along with Obama as to who would be the senator, the Obama justice department went after his ass.
Not a big deal.
We should call out the Democrats (except for John Fetterman) by identifying them as Communists. Similar to what Joe McCarthy did.

The guy who was accused of trying to sell the appointment to the senate seat vacated by Barack Obama. What a scandal. What a horrible offense. You don’t even know what he did or didn’t do other than cross Obama who then lawfared him out of office and then into prison. You must be a fan of Obama.
