I don’t think she was properly dressed. She should have been wearing layers of cloths and a parka for temperature like that. I learned that in the Army when we went to arctic WX training. Staying warm for 3 days while cross country skiing and snow shoeing while only having pup tents is definitely a challenge. :-(

Now, please take this with a grain of salt. I was Canadian reg force infantry. 3 days cross country. haha!! As I said, please don’t be offended. I love my southern brothers. I just had a laugh when I saw that because I wish. I wish we only went out for 3 days. One ex in northern Manitoba we went down to -60 celcius doing snowmobile insertion training. That was pure survival. -40 celcius is quite normal where we tread and often weeks a time when we weren’t overseas.

My first thought was she wasn’t properly geared, my second thought was why was she out there? It seems a social media thing and not just for the love out the outdoors. Probably wasn’t wearing 3/4 shank boots for ice crampons and no ice axes among other cold weather gear.
