It doesn’t take much for celebs to ask.

My company has a couple King Airs, a G2, and a new G400.

We gave a comedian a flight so he could MC a charity event in West Texas we sponsor.

Ever since, every B lister represented by the same agency hits us up for a flight under the impression that we are the type to spend $25k to bask in their “fame”. We’re always a “no”, but I guess enough rich morons say yes that they try. There are probably 20 emails just like this from Whoopi’s people to possible marks.

The very common relationship for private jets is that the person using the jet pays the fuel and landing costs in some way to owning entity, or that is a strait forward charity act for the company. The deprecation, the turbine hours of leased, the pilot salaries, the pilot T and L is already committed to by the company under the service and pilot relationship, a certain number of hours per year that the accountants really want to be seen used. Outside shuttling supplies into a Hurricane Target there are not many missions “extra” for a global executive transport other than shuttling the twerp execs around.

Listening to Adam Carola

Perks of flying a private plane.
For Business: nuff said.

For regular folk
-you can get on a plane and go. No boarding, no papers, no slobby TSA feeling you up, no standing in line, no mindless questions from the boarder agent, no empty your suitcase so we can root through your underwear, no humiliation routine....
-for self identified “important” Celebs, you get all that plus confirmation, in your mind, that others somehow see you as important and worthy

Im reminded of a book by some behind the scenes hollywood mover and shaker. In his book he recounted the time he organized a huge charity event (I think it was held overseas in France). One of those invited to the event was Cher.

She agreed to appear, but then made a last minute demand that she be flown to the event in a Gulfstream jet. Because this was a last minute request, time was too short for the charity to pay for it. So, the organizer had to pay for the Gulfstream rental with his own personal credit card. And the jet was sent to pick Cher up. Many hours later the jet returned empty.

It was a Gulfstream 3 and Cher doesnt fly on anything less than a Gulfstream 4.

It sounds like your company is approached directly. I wonder if a lot of this stuff is done on the airport website? i.e. Epstein kept a plane (along with a lot of other private owners) at Teterboro. Is it possible that there’s a “bulletin board” website at that airport and the request was simply broadcast?
