AI's 'jaw-dropping' prediction on who will win the 2028 US presidential election

A YouTuber has used Grok to predict how the upcoming 2028 US election will pan out in a detailed breakdown shared online, including the likely winner and which states they'll triumph in.

Grok is Elon Musk's artificial intelligence bot, which is commonly used on his social media platform Twitter (or X, as it's now known). (snip)

For the sake of the Grok results, the person behind the YouTube channel Election Time input Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom, Pete Buttigieg, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Josh Shapiro, JB Pritzker, Cory Booker, and Tim Walz as potential candidates. (snip)

Looking at the Republican side of things, Vice President JD Vance is a clear frontrunner, with Donald Trump Jr. coming in second. Other potential Republican candidates listed were Marco Rubio, Ron DeSantis, Robert Kennedy Jr., Nikki Haley, Ted Cruz, and Vivek Ramaswamy. (snip)

But, who wins, according to Grok?

Well, the AI bot's forecast ultimately gives JD Vance 326 electoral votes and Kamala Harris 212, meaning the US could face another four years of Republican rule.

Vance is actually predicted to get 14 more seats than Trump did in 2024, winning every state Trump won along with Minnesota and New Hampshire.

That’s what worries me when “AI takes over the world”. If folks think humans have messed things up....

Probably be Newsom. As horrible as he is he as the cali machine behind him, including his incest relationship with Nancy to pull him up. Plus tons of cash. But he has to totally ruin Cali, that is the only way he can be their candidate. That’s how mentally ill dems have become. Vance is sharp but Rubio is more mature and has done an outstanding job at SS, rivaling Thomas Jefferson on the foreign and even internal management issues. Heck, he has surpassed him. If he could stay focused like that as president, he would be legendary. Imagine having two legendary presidents in a row? Actually might fix things permanently.

Grok is predicting JD Vance will win all 50 states? Darn, I only predicted 49.

None of these predictive models are of any value. There are too many variables that affect human behavior, and even AI cannot handle the complexity.

Not jaw-dropping at all. If I had to make a guess today I'd come up with the same result. Vance doesn't have a tenth the baggage of Trump and has said the right things to be a MAGA standard bearer, so I would expect him to do incrementally better.

But I differ on the notion that the Democrats will run Kamala again. Doesn't matter that she leads the polls. Democrat nominees are selected by their elites (just ask Sanders), and they are not going to repeat the mistake of 2024. If I had to guess, I'd say they'll go with someone like Shapiro, after passing over both Kamala and Newsom.

Democrats at this point, short of a black swan event, or major depression cannot win a nations election.

I would like to see Pete Buttigieg vs Gretchen Whitmer for the Dems nomination. Buttplugg vs the evil Covid lockdown witch.

“...should NOT be eligible...” it should read.

If a state wants a foreign born governor, then that’s up to them.

“This will come as shocking news to Ramaswamy.”

And everyone else born in Cincinati, Ohio to legal US residents (if not naturalized citizens).

I’ve had my suspicions about Ohioians for some time.

Beady eyes, little hands. Smell of cabbage.
