The Mashantucket Pequot Tribe got down to two female members registered during the 20th century. Somehow the Tribe got standing to start a casino in Connecticut. It's called Foxwoods, and at one point it was the largest Indian Casino in the country. I got my information from the Indian museum at Foxwoods itself.
