Why is this a federal case? Surely, he should not have done what he did, but the dude is not a hardened criminal. I have a feeling he is going to do a manslaughter sized rap. It was just a damn wolf!

Most serial killers started with torturing animals...

Why is this a federal case? It isn't a federal case. It's an ordinary state case, and the feds are not involved.

I suppose if you’re going to play with a wolf, taping its mouth shut would be the first thing to do.
If he tortured it, he needs to go to the mental health lock up until he’s cured, as you wouldn’t want someone like that walking around amongst us normals.

Somebody somewhere will do the same or worse to a dog or cat and there will always be that bunch who say “ it was just a dog/cat”.
There’s no “ just a” excuse for torturing animals.

People who torture animals tend to be worse to kids, spouses, and others.
This isn’t lazy neglect or unwittingly stupid behavior, it is cruel.

From the article, he taped the jaws closed (not too tight to restrict breathing) and then later muzzled it to show off at the bar before putting it down outside the bar, as is legal for population control regulated by Wyoming wildlife dept. There was no other form of torture noted as in burning, beating, maiming or causing pain for enjoyment.
Some pansy@ss saw the taped jaw and claimed animal cruelty and torture. This is no Dexter physcho. What a bunch of knee jerks to believe the anti-old-white-guy article written to disparage and debase via an exaggerated nothing burger.

It was just a damn wolf! Animal abusers frequently graduate to humans.

Why do OP’s not evaluate their own subject matter?

The prosecutor needs to lay it on and throw the book at this creep on top of animal cruelty. Having a firearm in a bar is illegal in Wyoming. Being drunk and having a firearm on you is illegal in Wyoming. Discharging a firearm when drunk is illegal in Wyoming. Discharging a firearm inside city limits is illegal in Wyoming. Take away his guns and hunting license for life too after he gets out of prison. He is one sick person.

I agree with you. He’s a crap person but he should get a month or two in jail at most.
