43 years ago today, Bonnie Tyler released the song that would become her personal best-selling tune of all time.

Written and produced by Jim Steinman, the pop-rock icon’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart” was released on Feb. 11, 1983, cementing her as a powerhouse vocalist. The song, a standout track on her fifth studio album, Faster Than the Speed of Night, topped the US Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks...

Great song which I’ve listened to many times, but the video in the link I’m surprised her voice is really breaking on those High notes.

Note: The theme of my daughter’s prom in 2012.
Also note: They did not play the song at the prom because they hired a hip-hop DJ

I’ve always enjoyed her work. It’s strong, the lyrics are clear, and her songs tell stories.
