In a case like this, I’d want all the ‘pull’ I could get, and if I knew a Senator, I’d certainly call him.
In the beginning no one knew this was a kidnapping, she could have just wandered off, so no reason to call the senator unless she knew something was up
And what exactly would a SENATOR DO TO FIND A MISSING PERSON????
