Do we know exactly when they entered this case? Was it from the point where what appeared to be a ransom note was received?
They don’t get involved if a person just walks away.geesh...
I listened to the first 15 minutes of Dan Bongino’s podcast today. Everyone should. He explains the FBI’s role in these things, which is ... none — unless/until invited.
If the locals want to send evidence to another lab, it’s their choice. Even if the FBI’s lab is better with the best equipment, they can’t force the locals to do anything.
When FBI arrives at a crime scene or at local cop facility, they defer to the locals.
