RIO RICO, AZ — A man who says he was detained by Pima County Sheriff's deputies for "kidnapping" Nancy Guthrie spoke exclusively to ABC15 following his release.
On Tuesday night, authorities confirmed that they had detained a man during a traffic stop in a location south of Tucson, the source said, and law enforcement is preparing to search a location associated with the individual
They didn't even tell me what's going on until the detectives got here... They told me I was being detained for kidnapping, and I asked them, "Kidnapping of who?""
In the exclusive interview, the man, who identified himself as "Carlos," says he was held at the scene of the initial traffic stop for hours.

They were interviewing the guys mother in law late last night. It sounded like a dead end to me.
Im still sticking to my theory until proven otherwise. Why was the FBI swarming the daughter’s neighborhood yesterday afternoon searching every backyard? Three times at the daughter’s house now. Her car towed and forensically tested.
You never know with this type. Better hang him, just to be sure.
The way he chuckled ironically at the thought of him being the kidnapper sounds sincere. What a horror show a detention like that would be for an innocent person. Hope he otherwise has his “papers.”
If he got arrested for misuse of pronouns the Left would approve.
