To anyone who has kept up with this better than I have:

Do we know for sure that Nancy returned to her home? Could someone have taken her phone and apple watch back to the house to make it look like she returned? Are they just taking the family’s word about the time she returned home?

I don’t know what proof they would have unless a camera captured her return. There’s been no word about that...

I think the garage door opening and closing is a clue. Either someone had digitally copirf a spare remote, the family has a spare remote in their car, or someone knows the code to open the garage door from outside.

One thing not mentioned is whether the house has an alarm system, too. If so, it would track when it is armed and disarmed. It sounds like Nancy Guthrie either didn't have one or didn't arm/disarm it, because that would have told investigators a lot about the timing of things.
