I don't want to rain on your parade, but the media coverage here is not unprecedented. History shows us the Lindburgh, Patty Hearst, Frank Sinatra Jr. kidnappings commanded overwhelming media coverage saturation.

Of course, cops are supposed to take a day off. However, he should have stayed home, watched the game on television in the privacy of his home. Sheriff Nanos has not instilled confidence in his abilities to resolve the case since his first folksy press conference following the Guthrie disappearance.
