A small group of pro-wealth activists clashed with socialist demonstrators Saturday over California’s proposed “billionaire’s tax,” as dueling protests played out on the streets of San Francisco.
The rally, dubbed the “March for Billionaires,” drew supporters of the state’s ultra-wealthy residents, who are in the crosshairs of a proposal that would force them to hand over five percent of their net worth to California each year.
Organizer Derik Kauffman said many onlookers assumed the march was a joke, given it was staged in ultra-liberal San Francisco.
“Vilifying billionaires is popular. Losing them is expensive,” reads a message on the event’s official website.
“California benefits enormously when entrepreneurs choose to build here. We’re currently watching them leave.”
Kauffman, co-founder of AI startup RunRL, told The California Post the group had two goals, to promote the value billionaires bring to the economy and to oppose the proposed wealth tax.

When there is no one left in California that has any money they will figure it out.
I was taught to respect anyone who worked “a good honest job.” The definition of a good honest job was an honest job. I respect the men who pick up the trash. I respect Elon Musk. I don’t respect Hunter Biden.

Newscum’s answer will be to raise taxes even more (a few dozen new ones already in play) and make it impossible for hard working middle class people to live there. I have a friend who falls into that category. Only reason he hasn’t moved is he and his wife have family in LA. He soon may have no choice but to flee.
Then all that’s left will be the politicians, some few middle class servants who get by, and an underclass - essentially slave labor. And that fellow Freepers is exactly the leftscum’s goal starting with California. It is actually their plan for the whole nation.
Remember, the leftscum politicians took Orwell’s 1984 not as a warning but rather as a playbook. And leftscum voters are too stupid or too ignorant — likely both — to see it. Heck I doubt most of them even know who Orwell or Ayn Rand is let lone read any of their writing. Eventually though Atlas will Shrug (I hope).
Why waste time aand effort with a ‘March for Billionaires’?
It’s a foregone conclusion that will never change any leftist minds.
Just liquidate what can’t be moved and get out now.
Relocate to a free state and let the crazy democrats and other California communists figure out how to pay for their own over-spending.
Then work to elect a democrat president of the U.S. so the printing presses roll full-time and degraded federal money is shipped to the blue states by the train load to be spread out to NGO’s, community organizers, and other corrupt democrats.
Basically simple.
