Green Day have changed the lyrics to two of their most famous songs ahead of the band's upcoming Super Bowl performance.
Green Day, comprising Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool, will perform at the Super Bowl's opening ceremony show on Sunday, February 8.
The Grammy Award-winning band, which has outwardly condemned Donald Trump in the past, will be singing a number of their biggest hits as the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots prepare to take the field at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Following the American Idiot's hitmakers' performance, Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny will perform, in what seems to be the Super Bowl's most divisive Half-Time Show to date.
Prior to football's biggest event of the year, Green Day attended Spotify's The Fanduel Party at Pier 29 in San Francisco on Friday, February 6, where they performed several of their most well-known songs.
However, the band used their show to share political messages by changing the lyrics to two of their biggest hits.

If I was offered a 40 yard dumpster filled with gold bars to name a song by this band I would go home empty handed. I can also say the same about Taylor Swift and virtually every other purveyor of the auto tuned garbage of today.
It has been well over 50 years since I watched a Stupor Bowl. The only one I actually remember watching was the Joe Namath one, where I watched it on a department store TV, since we fortunately did not have one at home. There may have been several others after that, but they were eminently forgettable.
Can I have gotten two more AMERICA hating performers than Bad Bunny and Green Day for crying out loud I didn’t even know they were gonna be there. What an insult.
