Eric Dickerson is NOT backing down from his Bad Bunny stance -- and now he’s dragging the NFL into the fire!
The Hall of Fame running back tells TMZ Sports he's doubling down on the opposition to the global superstar's headlining of Sunday's Super Bowl halftime show.
Of course, Dickerson has been very outspoken about the choice … saying he'd rather anyone else play, insisting Benito should "keep his ass where he's at" in Puerto Rico.

TMZ site always takes over my screen with virus stuff. I never go there.
“Not necessary to go to the TMZ site. Excerpt explains all. Eric Dickerson is not happy. He blasts Rooney Rule (“a freaking joke”) and claims NFL is completely corrupt.”
Dickerson seemed to be a very bright person. This is a little more evidence of that.
Roger Goodell is a woke, pos.
I wonder if Goodall has a thing going with the PR Bugs Bunny. Hmmmm.
Thank you Eric, least you aint a cuck like all the other vets, owners and players.
And yet millions of mouth breathers will mindlessly tune in, swallow it and beg for more while wearing their favorite team jersey with their favorite players name on the back.
Eric Dickerson is the greatest runner I ever saw in my lifetime. (There are better running backs, guys like Walter Payton and Marshall Faulk could catch and block really well). I was too young to see Jim Brown and O.J. Simpson in real time, but when Dickerson hit that extra gear, he was super-human. Imagine if he had a decent QB on his teams to take some pressure off.
Agreed, Eric Dickerson was a fantastic Runner and breathtaking to watch. Unfortunately he fumbled too much.
“He blasts Rooney Rule (“a freaking joke”)”
I hope he doesn’t mean it’s a “joke” because too many *White* coaches are hired despite the racist intent of the Rule.
Sounds like you were also too young to see Gale Sayers. As a point of reference, watch Brian’s Song from 1971. Those clips of Sayers running with the ball were representative, not necessarily his best stuff. The knee injury changed history.
“... when Dickerson hit that extra gear, he was super-human.”
Dickerson was one of the greats, that’s for sure. The only knock against him that I recall is he was such an upright runner. He offered a bigger target. But, he was strong, fast, and had great vision so even if he was a big target, you had to be able to hit that target.
Little Billie Joe is going to say something so over the top that they will be forced to cut off his mic.
That's going to wrongfoot this pendejo from go, and 90% of what he sings is Rican hoodoo anyway, and no one can understand his Spanglish.
“Global Superstar”???? I never heard of the guy before he got selected to do the halftime show
Not Roger Goodell. Charlie Baker...former Governor of Massachusetts. And yes, woke POS.
Picking somebody who hates America as the main half-time attraction is an odd choice. First of all... Nobody, and by nobody I mean a majority of the people on earth, had even heard of a dude named Bad Bunny before the NFL selected him as the halftime attraction.
Then a week or two before the Super Bowl they announce that Green Day will also be appearing... Most people on earth have heard of them... But once again.... They are picking an ultra-liberal set of performers to entertain people at halftime. I guess Green Day does have some catchy tunes, so maybe somebody will tune in to watch them.
The NFL is kowtowing to the left... Why they bother doing such a thing is perplexing... Pissing off most of their viewers to pick up some ultraleft viewers is not the smartest thing in the world to do.
No, the following year Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers performed the halftime show, followed by The Who two years later. Those were both great shows. They have steadily gone downhill since.
Goodell gave the halftime show job to billionaire pimp, Jay-Z. The shows will all be hip hop and rap as long as he has anything to do with it.
The NFL leadership just think their viewers are so addicted to pro football that no amount of insults will curb the viewing numbers. The Leadership can virtue signal and keep their cash cow going.
The NFL sold out.
But in context, Bad Bunny has had more “streams” on all platforms than any other musician in the past year. The number is 19.8 BILLION in 2025.
To suggest the guy is not popular is just wrong.
Do I like his stuff? Nope.
But for an old guy like me, I have gotten used to not keeping up on pop culture and music culture. If Bad Bunny is what the people want...I am not going to stop them. I will simply spend that time going to the bathroom and grabbing something to eat.
Getting worked up over this is kind of silly.
