Governments habitually lie. They lie so often that it is peculiar for governments to claim “authority” on anything other than falsehood. Before the Gutenberg press and general literacy, “authorities” announced self-serving lies in the public square. With the arrival of newsprint, “authorities” disseminated State propaganda as daily news. Radio and television revolutionized the mass manipulation of minds. The adoption of the personal computer, the rise of the Internet, the commercialization of pocket computers posing as handheld phones, and the sticky web of an ever-growing social media complex have made it possible for government “authorities” to reach inside every human brain and squish it into compliance. AI-powered machines now manufacture and disseminate lies faster than human-powered governments ever could.
Most people are only now realizing that — even in so-called “free” countries — government-sanctioned propaganda, censorship, and misdirection are pervasive and routine. To the surprise of citizens taught to “trust the authorities,” the unvarnished truth is a bitter pill to swallow: Governments regularly employ psychologically manipulative, and even exploitative, forms of information warfare against their own citizens. Politicians and generals tell lies to mobilize the American public for war. Economists and central bankers tell lies to justify money-printing that robs from the middle class and rewards wealthy elites. Government regulatory bodies tell lies about the safety of food and medicine before taking lucrative jobs inside the global food and pharmaceutical industries. The Chamber of Commerce calls the offshoring of blue-collar jobs and the importation of slave-produced crap “free trade.”
How can the word “authority” maintain any positive meaning when “authorities” are always wrong? What do you get when the “Authorities” have sold their souls in exchange for power?
I will tell you how. Over half of America has become just as bad and depraved.
The truth is for most of human history the large majority if our “leaders” have always been such.
Only when Christ returns will all be made right.
Taxed.
There is a logical fallacy in the assumption. Because “authorities” have lied numerous times, the assumption is all authorities lie all the time.
More correctly, we know authorities are far from infallible, and in fact, lie to further particular interests.
We should all be skeptical and use more than ordinary means when claims are made by “authorities”.
The logical fallacy of “appeal to authority” is valid.
We live in a blackmailocracy among other blackmailocracies.
Don’t forget blackmailers. Everyone forgets them. They are partners with Satan.

The author is rather naive. What does he think our so-called leaders were doing 100, 500 or a thousand years ago? They were every bit as depraved as they are now. And frankly, a large percentage of our population is also depraved, if you look at the statistics for porn drugs and other vices. The only answer is for Americans to turn back to God.

I’ll go out on a limb and say heterophobia is behind a lot of the hatred of Epstein. The “Me Too” movement made heterosexual conduct morally frowned upon. Icons of the past like Martin Luther King were outed as heterosexual. The line between acceptable and unacceptable heterosexual conduct has shifted, so that a “blonde joke” is no longer considered funny, and men are being told in subtle and blatant ways that they should be ashamed that they have a functioning member. In the Epstein files, all I have seen is what used to be considered healthy skirt chasing by adult men of adult women. He had his underage harem, but there is not a shred of evidence that anyone else, other than maybe Andrew, had a piece of it. The loudest critics are jealous barren men and women who selectively decided that now that they are out of the dating pool, dating is disreputable. The guilt by association is also unfair and many innocent people are being smeared.
A leader doesn’t have to be Christ himself to be better than what we’ve got.
Political power is a magnet for the worst of the worst and once that’s all we have as leaders a cleansing turmoil is certain.
I never said they did, I said the majority and then only after Christ returns will it stop.
Man gave up dominion of this world to evil and we are slaves to it unless we are reborn to a new master (Christ).
This world is already lost but those saved will be restored when all is made new in Christ.
That does not mean despair, for we have a wonderful purpose to spread the good news of the Gospel and pray all who can be saved will and see them come to Christ. Hopefully and joyfully waiting for his return.
John Adams was certainly correct in saying our form of government requires a moral and religious people.
