Talk to a long-time ER nurse or physician ... you might need a beer or two to loosen their tongues ... but they’ll have a lot to tell you if they’re in a mood to talk.

my xwife was an ER nurse, and I went to all the Doctors parties.
I can confirm, and the things I have heard...
My brother was an X-Ray and CT Scan technician in a small hospital in Central California for many years. He worked nights, so did the x-rays for the emergency room.
He has lots of juicy stories, as well as sad ones. He says the saddest one was an older gentleman that he knew, from previous visits to the hospital. The guys son brought him in, and my brother went out to the car with a gurney to bring the old guy in. He died in my brother’s arms.
Sounds like TMI to me.

Worked with a guy years ago who had a doctor friend in SF.
I used to know a couple who worked in an ER in Denver. They said they kept a list.
I had a good friend who passed in 2021. He was a plumber. He was doing a job at a hospital 20-something years ago, and he told me he got a peek at an X-ray in which some object, maybe a beer bottle, was stuffed up somebody’s rectum.
I don’t know why people would want to do that, but some folks apparently get pleasure out of that. Then the “find out” portion happens.
