Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) announced Friday afternoon that the Senate is poised to vote on a series of amendments and then pass a massive package of appropriations bills to fund the federal departments and agencies.
Thune announced votes on seven amendments, including a proposal by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) to repeal $75 billion in funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and another by Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) to bar the Trump White House from rescinding funding through pocket rescissions.
The Senate will also consider an amendment sponsored by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) to remove $5 billion from the bill for refugee welfare programs, along with proposals from Sens. Eric Schmitt (R-Mo.) and Mike Lee (R-Utah).

There is no doubt Rand's amendment is symbolically important.
It would stop the fraud.
I hope you can get your senators to look at this. It's low hanging fruit and a no-brainer.
Rand is asking you to call them.
Let's do this!
If the Republicans pass these, I'll be pissed!
This whole bill is DOA.
They wont, those will lose
But Rand’s needs a simple majority. It’s a big deal.
It’s going to be revealing
Stupid Senate Republicans think this will help the midterms.
It will do the opposite.
Trump will sign what they pass ?
