Senator Bernie Sanders acknowledged in a recent podcast interview that President Donald Trump performed better than former President Joe Biden in securing the U.S.-Mexico border.
“If you don’t have any borders, you don’t have a nation,” Sanders, a Vermont independent who caucuses with the Democratic Party, said on The Tim Dillon Show on Wednesday.

I guess Sanders takes that fictional stance as it sits well with older Vermonters. But of course Sanders is a member of the communist wing of the Democrat Party.
Of course, Bernie will say this. But he’ll vote and act for open borders.
Sanders has made statements about secure borders in the past. But that’s not due to love of country. Some have speculated it was due to pressure from the unions. Floods of immigrants tend to drive wages down.
But Sanders hasn’t said much about the border for years. That’s why this Oct 2025 statement of his was a bit of a surprise. Maybe the unions had a little talk with him.

I suppose there’s also an old-school wing of the Democrat Party. Members of that wing vote D just because their grandfathers voted D. This wing is in denial. They don’t understand how much their party has devolved.

Didn't hear him say anything of the sort while Biden/Harris were in office - and the border was WIDE open for four years.
I trust all of the fake Col. Sanders iterations more than Bernie.
