There are two main types of PC cancer. Cancer in the tail, which is what RBG and Steve Jobs had is very treatable and it doesnt spread nearly as fast. It has to do with the location of the tumor and its surroundings.

Pancreatic cancer in the head of the pancreas is right next to a couple of arteries and the digestive system. It is literally inches to the liver and there is a duct that connects to two systems. Tumors on head of the pancreas are the ones that spread fast (usually) and unless they are found really early, inoperable and hard to treat.

I don’t know about the mice kind.

I have an old friend in the last throes of Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. It has obstructed his celiac artery and has induced cachexia. It is burning off his muscle mass at this point with little hope of reversal. He has been fighting it since early 2023. Lots of chemo and a whipple held it at bay, but it finally broke loose. At this point he is confident of celebrating Valentine's Day, but uncertain how much longer he can hold out. A couple days ago his doctor performed a celiac nerve block to allow him to get off the opioids. That was successful and just a little Tylenol is sufficient to get by. For now, he is satisfied with palliative care and trying to avoid going to hospice.

I read this thread in hopes that there was something to help my friend. It's still mouse research, so it won't be an option.
