"Real Time" host Bill Maher said Monday that the Democratic Party needs to "tell celebrities to shut the (expletive) up" if it wants to win elections in the future.
Maher told the California Post that Hollywood is holding the party back from achieving its goals.
"Hollywood [is] sort of the epicenter of the woke left. I don’t think they’re doing the Democratic Party any favors," he told the outlet. "I think if Democrats want to win elections in the future, job one, tell the celebrities to ‘Just shut the (expletive) up. You’re not helping. You don’t strike people in most of the country as sensible or in touch with reality.'"

I’m with Bill Maher on this one.
No! Let them talk. Make Mark Ruffalo the face of Hollywood support.
Hollyweird is practically becoming nonexistent or relevant.
Bill is right, but should also include that screamer Springsteen who thinks he’s a singer.
And it’s their own fault.
In my experience, people who must step aside in order that the larger objective can be achieved will not do so. They are MUCH too important and if you think they’re the problem then they know YOU are the problem. Ask them to be quiet and they will double the volume. The less competent and savvy they are, the louder they will be. The only way to get them out of the way is to remove them from the microphone. They generally own the microphone. I found it hilarious that Barbra Streisand had three full time female “political advisers” and had then President Bill Clinton and the governor or California on speed dial. And here is the kicker, they took her calls. That’s what money and a microphone means. So how do you shut up someone like her? Much of Hollywood is similar to her.
Meanwhile, popcorn sales to red states are going through the roof.
American don’t want what the ‘Rats peddle.
Democrat prefer to deceive.
Maher doesn’t want to understand that these celebrities ARE the party.
Trump figured it out and left.
> Hollyweird is practically becoming nonexistent or relevant.<
In a few short years AI will replace these peacocking imbeciles. They are too dumb to know it.

No Bill, the party is holding themselves back because you are all INSANE NUTJOBS!
Hollywood is another branch of the stupid ignorant cluless tribe of the democrat party everything the do turns to s**t.
AI is slowly putting Hollywood out of business, thankfully.
Only he’s wrong. Hollywood is the Party.
Uh, Bill, the D-Rat party is holding the party back. Have you not heard the inflammatory and borderline retarded rhetoric spewing out of the likes of Walz, Frey, B.J. Clinton and Obama?
Hollywood exactly reflects the party.
1. This idiot is like Fetterman, he says something agreeable once in a while and people take him seriously. They’re both still idiots.
2. Maher should start by talking to his compatriots: Stewart, Kimmel and Fallon, he’s a lot closer to them than Hollyweird stars.
Keep listening, Democrats! You’re right on course lol
I think they should just shut the f up generally . . .
Robert Heinlein:
“[T]here seems to have been an actual decline in rational thinking. The United States had become a place where entertainers and professional athletes were mistaken for people of importance. They were idolized and treated as leaders; their opinions were sought on everything and they took themselves just as seriously—after all, if an athlete is paid a million or more a year, he knows he is important ... so his opinions of foreign affairs and domestic policies must be important, too, even though he proves himself to be ignorant and sub-literate every time he opens his mouth.”
