A Daytona woman who was arrested after being accused of committing fraud thought it was a laughing matter as she was seen giggling when deputies placed her in handcuffs.
Jacqueline James, 21, was charged with grand theft and fraudulently obtaining property under $20,000.
According to the Martin County Sheriff's Office, James was part of a bank phone scam that resulted in the victim losing nearly $1,700.
James turned herself in, but deputies said she did not tell them who else was possibly involved in the scam.
In body camera footage, James was seen giggling after being arrested.
During their investigation, deputies were able to track the stolen money to James' bank account. She also spent the money, deputies said.
She was then taken to the Martin County Jail, and a judge set her bond at $10,000.

Wha? How many shorties she have?
She seems nice. She’ll do time in Florida. No Get Out of Jail cards
That’s normal. Most Dipstick Court female Judgettes giggle like they didn’t burn the cupcakes when they screw over the President of the United States.
“She was then taken to the Martin County Jail, and a judge set her bond at $10,000.”
That means she only has to come up with $1,000 to bail out.
This is a real psychological phenomenon. People who laugh when they are nervous. If I were a criminal, I would not want to have it.
You’re absolutely right. Non story. Slow news day
“...deputies were able to track the stolen money to James’ bank account.”
WHY don’t we hear that they’ve tracked the BILLIONS the Scamolis stole?
It seems that “Florida Woman” is replacing “Florida Man” now...
Phone and online frauds would get their hands, feet and heads chopped off if I was
the King. No mercy. These people have caused a lot of misery around the world.
Lots of victims aren’t protected by police because they fall outside the system of laws that protect people. This arrest was a nice step forward.

That isn't as much as she stole!
That’s my point.....kinda infuriating ain’t it.
It's because of who stole the money in MN. When politicians are caught with their hand in the cookie jar, the law seems to always look the other way. No wonder the average person doesn't trust the legal system any more.
I get video about the Beckems.
10k bail is way way too low. She gets a grand and walks.
Keep them in jail. Justice must be quick, especially in these cases where it is a slam dunk……they traced the funds.
Plead guilty and start your sentence or sit there in jail until trial
Correct. This is the kind of non-event that happens every day everywhere. Just more outrage fuel to keep the fire burning.
Uh huh.
My bad. I admit it. Can I go home now with everything forgiven? I am really sorry so that makes it all go away concerning me.
