In my times as “the office geek”,, (1sf gen.), when I need. an aspiration and a cup of coffee, I always recall “the Dilbert etch a sketch laptop restart”.
Thank you, Mr. Scott!
That was a classic.
Watched the whole thing. It was very sweet, whimsical and very loving of a remarkable mind and talent. Thank you for posting the link, TE—I would have been unaware of it otherwise.
I'm shocked at how fast the whole thing happened. I know several men, including my father who had prostate cancer and they all lived for 5 years or more. One of my customers had it 3 times over 30 years. He was 91 the last time he was diagnosed with it and he said eff it. He didn't even bother treating it. He was gone in about 6 months, too.
Amazing that a cartoonist could be so influential among such powerful people and thinkers.
RIP Scott Adams.
In the live feed, I heard someone mention that Adams had been a Mensa member. Yet he lived modestly and didn't project being overly proud of himself. So his good humor, ultimate kindness and sly skewering of organizational behavior really spoke to other intelligent people. It was his high intelligence that enabled him to see through the media propaganda and his Left Coast surroundings to recognize Trump's unusual mind, and the right gifts for a time such as this.
I also noticed how geeky most of his close associates who spoke at the event seemed. Probably many borderline spectrum folks, like a lot of Silicon Valley people, which accounts for their quirky wit. It was great to hear people not just on the verge of tears, but also laughing and making the audience laugh. So glad I watched. Thanks again.
Thanks for posting this Texas.
I’ve been a big fan of the Simultaneous Sip for many years now and was planning on watching this video.
RIP Mr. Scott Adams
You will be missed...
:(
You’re welcome again. I’m going to miss my fellow brothers and sipsters. I know Owen Gregorian and others are going to continue the show but I think everybody knows it won’t be the same. Obviously. Duh.
Also did his show from the hospital .
