BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — A labor and delivery nurse at Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital is no longer employed after a TikTok video surfaced that appears to show her making graphic and violent comments about White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who recently announced she is pregnant.
The video was posted by a woman identified as Alexis “Lexie” Lawler. In the video, Lawler says it “gives [her] great joy” to wish Leavitt would suffer a fourth-degree tear during childbirth — the most severe type of obstetric tear — using explicit and profane language.
Fourth-degree tears extend through muscle and tissue to the anal sphincter and can result in long-term or permanent medical complications.
The video, which was widely shared before being set to private, quickly sparked backlash online — not only because of the language used, but because it came from a healthcare professional who worked in labor and delivery.
WARNING: EXPLICIT LANGUAGE IN X VIDEO BELOW
Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer said Thursday night that he contacted hospital leadership shortly after learning about the video.
“I was in touch with hospital leadership as soon as I learned this afternoon and have been informed that this person is no longer employed there,” Singer wrote on social media. “These disgusting comments have no place in medicine or in our community.”
Baptist Health confirmed Lawler is no longer employed by the health system and issued a statement to CBS12 News emphasizing professional standards in healthcare.
“The comments made in a social media video by a nurse at one of our facilities do not reflect our values or the standards we expect of healthcare professionals,” the hospital said. “Following a prompt review, the individual is no longer employed by our health system.”

Better keep track of her. Pass the trash works in the medical field as well as the education field. And they cover for each other.
The internet never forgets.
First, do no harm.
Correct.
Apparently that didn’t resonate with Lexie’s puny brain.
Alex Pretti, the armed and dangerous wokester guy who died today was a licensed nurse.
I’m getting a bad feeling about having nurses size me up to trick me into saying what my political preference is.
The majority of nurses are registered Democrats.
My sister isn’t, but she does not work for an institution. My nurse cousin is conservative, too. She does not work for an institution either. There are some out there that aren’t Leftists.
Our lives depend on them not being prejudiced leftist nutjobs.
I’m glad your sister and cousin are in the little group of good people.
Must say I like their phrase “after a prompt review”. Thank you, for doing a prompt review and firing this horrid person.
Who, agreed, must never work as a nurse again.
Thank you to the hospital administration.
Hopefully this disgusting sub-human never gets close to a hospital in ANY work capacity, EVER!!!
A complaint with the Florida Medical Board needs to be filed and her license to practice yanked.

BREAKING UPDATE: The @BaptistHealthSF nurse who wants Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt to suffer a severe 4th-degree tear during childbirth is “NO LONGER EMPLOYED.”
“There is no place in healthcare for language or behavior that calls into question a caregiver's ability to provide compassionate, unbiased care.”
May you be deported to Afghanistan
They now have a go fund me page up saying she was fired merely for “speaking out.”
Wishing physical harm on someone because you disagree with their politics is not “speaking out.”
She should have been fired - and also should have her license revoked to ever be a nurse again.
You are correct. They, and doctors, need to ne politically impartial. I think COVID took the impartiality away.
They have to file a complaint against her licensure. It is against nursing standards
Fla board of nursing, yes
“They, and doctors, need to be politically impartial.”
They are required to be under licensure. Combat nurses are required to be ready to treat enemy combatants under this.
Covid or no covid they are not allowed to do this. Period
