A Border Patrol agent shot a 37-year-old American citizen dead in Minneapolis in a killing caught on camera.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) told the Daily Mail that the victim was armed with two magazines, and that the gun has since been recovered by federal authorities.
The shooting occurred during what appeared to be a struggle involving multiple agents just after 9am Saturday morning near Glam Doll Donuts at 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue.
Video shows agents wrestling the man to the ground before one federal agent fires multiple shots into his chest, after which the agents scatter.
This marks the third shooting in recent weeks involving federal agents in Minneapolis - coming after an ICE officer fatally shot Renee Nicole Good on January 7 and another federal agent wounded a man about a week later.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara said the person shot is believed to be a 37-year-old white US citizen who lived in the city. The Minnesota Star Tribune identified him as Alex Jeffrey Pretti.
During the news conference, O'Hara said the man's only contact with police, to their knowledge, was related to parking tickets.
The chief said officials have identified the man - who is believed to have had a gun permit - though his name has not yet been released. Minnesota law allows permit holders to openly carry handguns in public without concealing them.
DHS shared a photo of the firearm which was seen lying on the passenger seat of a car.
Minneapolis city officials have since addressed the emerging news on X, stating they 'are aware of reports of another shooting involving federal law enforcement in the area.'
'We are working to confirm additional details,' the department's post read. 'We ask the public to remain calm and avoid the immediate area.'

What video or videos did you watch? Do you have a link to them?
The shooting occurred on 26th Street W and Nicollet Avenue, south Minneapolis, where the Border Patrol operation was taking place.
This is less than one mile down the street on Nicollet Avenue where the now infamous "Child Learing Center" Somali day care center from the Nick Shirley video is located, at 1411 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55403.
Coincidence, or just the other half of what was really going on?
Was this operation targeted at that location on Nicollet to send a message?
Was Alex Pretti just in the wrong place at the wrong time? Pretti was safely on the sidewalk with the other people who were recording the operation. As a "citizen recorder" as Walz was asking for, he was legally safe on the sidewalk and away from the "zone of operation" where federal agents were staged.
By walking off of the sidewalk and on the the street, and then walking down the street with his camera in hand, Pretti stopped being a bystander recorder and entered into the police action zone, which is illegal. He probably thought he was going to get a better video than the others who stayed on the sidewalk.

The word is that he was brandishing the pistol and the ICE agents were trying to disarm him
Or Sheriff Andy Taylor
I’m hoping that when Trump and Bibi are done decimating the Iranian regime, the Venezuelan cartel government, and Minneapolistan, they set their sights on blowing each and every UK Daily Mail building and office to Kingdom Come!
Because everyone from Tucket ‘n Candace on down knows that all armed warlike actions are joint America-Israel ops.
>> Or Sheriff Andy Taylor
Or Barney.
Looks like a suicide to me.
>> Or was the writer trying to select words that urge the reader to be biased before they even start reading.
It’s the fookin’ Daily Mail standard operating protocol. If the writer doesn’t include those words, the editor sends it back for rework.
Doesn’t look good.
That’s absolutely false. There are multiple videos from before the shooting and all the way through it. He never brandished. He never unholstered his perfectly legal sidearm. An ICE agent unholstered it and took it away before the first shot was ever fired.
They’re all over X. Hard to miss them.
To be fair many people carry two mags with their gun. Mr. GG2 does. But Mr. GG2 does not run out and start effing around with ICE officers while they’re doing their duty. That guy inserted himself in the wrong place.
Here’s the best one. It’s slowed down so you can see every moment of what went down. It sure isn’t what Bovino says. Not even close.

I was thinking the same thing. If I had a carry permit and was required to go to, say, west Philly, I’d strongly consider extra mags as well. When Amish attack, it’s ALWAYS in packs.
I agree with this guy on Twitter:

To be clear about what this depicts: An immigration officer threw a woman onto the ground. Alex Pretti, a registered nurse on scene as a legal observer, is filming and goes to help the woman up. He is then pepper sprayed and thrown to the ground for no discernible reason. Many officers surround and assault him; one removes his firearm, which police say appears to have been legally registered. They then execute him with a hail of bullets. They are, objectively speaking, both cowards and criminals, while Pretti is what we teach people an American ought to be.
We shall see. Bottom line is that we are seeing officers under a lot of stress interacting in volatile conditions with Antifa types who have been trained to provoke officers into exactly the kind of stuff we are seeing
Have no idea what is going down but bringing a weapon to a riot is a bad idea
particularly if he bites your finger off.
Other than how to be a perverted oversexed commie lowlife with the moral values of a wild animal.
I agree.
Perhaps. But it shouldn’t involve a death sentence by ICE guys who think they’re the judge, jury, and executioner.
