Thank you very much and God bless you.

The Uncle Floyd Show was a low budget variety show on the local cable channels in the NYC/northern NJ area. It was kinda like the Soupy Sales Show but with fewer double entendres. He's also known for the parody Deep in the Heart of Jersey 😁 RIP and thanks for the laughs

Can’t say I ever heard of him. Sorry to hear he’s passed. When I saw Floyd in the headline, I was thinking of this guy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SJY6w0HD50

Nice find!😁 Reminds me of growing up listening to Zackerle aka the Cool Ghoul, a horror flick host in NYC. Halloween is not the same since he passed away. Also Dr. Paul Bearer, in Tampa before doing his stint on WWE

Very sad news. I haven’t thought about that show in years but it was great. Looney skip Rooney, oogie, etc. And the guest bands were fantastic. RIP

The bumper sticker said “Don’t avoid, watch Uncle Floyd”.

He did his show on public access television, entertained at all the senior centers and became a regional institution. Uncle Floyd spread much joy.

Rest in Peace.

RIP Uncle Floyd. It wasn’t even cable. It was UHF. To call it low budget is a huge understatement. Neil Yuk, Bruce Stringbean. Great stuff.

You can see him in “Flipside,” a documentary about an NJ record store.

David Bowie and John Lennon were fans, and Bowie worked his name into a song.

Don’t confuse him with Joe Flaherty’s Count Floyd.

He got some big names on his show. “Meatloaf” had appeared as “Pot Roast”. For something with the trappings of a kiddie show it ran late at night on a small NYC UHF station (67?). I don’t even know how I got it in with our cable package in Connecticut. But I wasn’t the only one. He would show mailed in letters, and one of them (including a drawing) was from a girl at my small (275 students) prep school.

Uncle Floyd was great. “A Day In The Life Of A Food” was genius.

Sadly, I didn’t know that until I looked him up. Don’t know where I was that day, but I missed it.
