Residents in a trendy apartment building in Denver, Colorado say their peaceful lives turned into a nightmare when homeless families were given free apartments next door.
Owen Johnson, a 25-year-old from Missouri, says he moved into the White Swan apartment building near the city's Congress Park in May with his wife.
But Johnson says their honeymoon period after tying the knot was quickly ruined when a homeless man was given a state housing voucher to move into the apartment next to theirs, and he says it dawned on them the tenant 'was crazy.'

I think the media likes to pretend that most of the homeless have just had “bad luck”. They have simply “fallen on hard times”. I think that would be a very small percentage of the homeless.
Most homeless are mentally ill and/or substance abusers. They deserve help, but they should not be around normal people. There should be institutions for them. Not really nice institutions, just places where they can be kept apart from society.
There used to be psychiatric hospitals but those closed down thanks to “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”. The situation today is far worse than any abuse that happened back then.
Vote better.
HORRIBLE
And if you insist that homeless is a kinder name, fin, call them homeless bums.
How can you tell which children will grow up to be drug addicts and bums?
Easy, they’re the ones who were raised, likely by mothers, being asked what they want to do, rather than being told what they need to do.
And all the kids eventually want drugs.
Their needs are secondary to their wants. So they become always-needy and can’t take care of themselves. Getting high to fulfill the dopamine pacification system they were raised on.
It’s just bad parenting
It happens everywhere it’s tried. Progressives don’t care, it’s part of their ‘equity’ dream.
Exactly!
Right. Cuckoo nest was the Three Mile Island for deinstitutionalization. Leftist banged the drum for patient rights. Patients were portrayed as political prisoners. Drugs and community services were supposed to be the solution. It was all a charade to destabilize civil society. The humane thing to do is protect the insane from themselves and others by taking them off the streets. If they were in Canada, they’d be euthanized.
“But Johnson says their honeymoon period after tying the knot was quickly ruined when a homeless man was given a state housing voucher to move into the apartment next to theirs, and he says it dawned on them the tenant ‘was crazy.’”
The tenant is not “crazy”, he’s just ‘down on his luck’, like all homeless people. PLEASE brush-up on you liberal talking points.
It’s time, time to stop calling them homeless, they are bums,
And if you insist that homeless is a kinder name, fin, call them homeless bums.
*********
They are mentally ill.
>> Most homeless are mentally ill and/or substance abusers.
Wonder how many are mentally ill BECAUSE they’re substance abusers. Many, perhaps most of them, is my guess.
It's all bad and needs to disappear. Build tent cities in the Mojave and give'm a PBJ and bottle of water as their daily meal. You'll be amazed at how fast they get straight.
Shame the (R)N(C) is too worried about being called ‘bad names’ than upholding/defending the Constitution/individual Rights via eliminating the illegal welfare state in ALL its many shapes, matters, forms & types...where THIS “problem” would then no exist.
I know a family where one of the six kids is homeless, but it’s because he’s a paranoid schizophrenic. The other siblings try to help him, but he refuses their help. He won’t take the meds, and he doesn’t trust anyone. He doesn’t mind sleeping on park benches, but he gets arrested for doing that. Anyway, it wasn’t a parenting issue in this particular case. No one knows how to help him anymore. They’ve tried for years. They get him apartments but he doesn’t stay. He seems to be on the move frequently. A vagrant if you will.
Not only “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” but WHOREALDO RIVERA’s “reporting”.
She thought she was going to make a fast buck renting to homeless at above market rates and guaranteed government check.
The results are predictable. It will take her years to evict these people and she will have to fight zealous homeless advocates every step of the way.
If the place does not burn down down from tweakers cooking meth in the interim
The rest of her tenants are going to go through hell and by the time she evicts the homeless her units are going to be completely ruined.
