No one had access to main frame computer except data processing manager and his trusted computer operator. External threat was impossible. There was no internet or any outside access to the computer. Only the DP manager and IBM serviceman could mess with the operating system. Ditto with IBM 1620 in engineering dept. No one had access except me. Never anyone could enter malware to the computer. I worked 23 years there with zero such issues.

I watched Logan’s Run movie where the auto surgeon went nuts and carved up Farah Fawcett.

"A lot of stuff is already semi-robotic, especially good cancer center places for tumors. This has a lot of potential to really cut down on costs, improve lifespan, and lower mistreatments."

Much more accurate. I had robot assisted surgery for prostate cancer back in 2006. Before surgery, I asked the doctor jokingly, if I could meet those robot. He smiled and obliged. Very impressive and large contraption in those days. Recovery time after surgery according to the doc was much quicker.

Everything can be stolen, hacked or vandalized. It is our responsibility to protect our assets. My company did that well and easily.
