Lindsey Graham growing "increasingly concerned" over Syria
X ^ | Jan 16 | Sen. Graham

@LindseyGrahamSC

As I have previously stated, I am growing increasingly concerned that the new Syrian government is aligning with Turkey to use military force against the Syrian Kurds, who are our strongest ally in the enduring defeat of ISIS in Syria.

They also have control of about 9,000 of the worst of the worst ISIS prisoners. It is in our vital national security interest that these prisoners do not go back to the battlefield.

I support a fair chance for the new Syrian government, however if there’s an escalation of attacks against the Kurds by Syrian forces supported by Turkey, this will create a whole new dynamic.

I believe there would be wide and deep bipartisan support to push back against such action. If anyone believes that I or any of my colleagues would be comfortable - at this stage - for the ISIS prisoners to be guarded by the Syrian army or Turkey instead of the Kurds, you are sadly mistaken. Choose wisely.

First ISIS was baaaad, so we spent gazillions and deployed American troops - some now dead. Trump proclaimed he “100 percent” destroyed/defeated the ISIS caliphate.

Then, wait-a-minute, ISIS was back, but goooooood again! So we aided their coup in Syria. Trump invites their America killing Muzloid leader, the “young attractive” (his words) Ahmed al-Sharaa into the WHITE HOUSE, then deploys *more* Americans to Syria. Syria... where he tried to remove troops during his first term. Two were just recently killed.

Now ISIS is baaaaaad again. We’re back to bombing moonscapes and gay-4-War Linda Graham is concern trolling.

This is how clown world looks when you’re destabilizing Mideast s**tholes on Israel’s behalf.

He knows nails are pretty much obsolete.

Torque head screws and powerful battery driven drivers are currently the way it is done

Lindsey Graham, ever the warhawk. Do the neocons not know there is a very anti-war President in office?

These things must be done delicately, i.e., by negotiation and sanctions, not swooping in with overwhelming military might with boots on the ground as the first resort.

It's yet another mess created our meddling in a country.

What would anyone expect by installing a former Al Qaeda terrorist in charge of Syria?

What do we do Lindsey? Bomb it back into the Stone Age to get rid of any threats? Put a permanent US troop presence in the middle of a Jihad between tribes that have fought each other for thousands of years? Lindsey’s answer to all of these questions is yes.
