If the Chinese are so smart why can’t they make anything of quantity?
That's why this argument is stupid. They may be illiterate but certainly they have the street smarts. They have to be, after all they're Pirates from Somalia.
Native Minnesotans (Scandinavian or German heritage) may be well-educated but certainly they are dumb when it comes to street smarts.
Civilization collapses when you don't know how to deal with a bunch of Pirates.
China, Japan and Korea have a culture that pushes education to an extent we can only dream of. With such intense emphasis on testing in general, that has to influence the IQ test figures.

The issues you are talking about were a bit of a mystery to me until I met a woman who had spent some time in Nigeria—and she walked me through how it worked.
Nigeria is a huge country with a wide variety of Africans in it—including the highly intelligent Ibo people.
However—the country is still a disaster area by almost any standard.
So—why couldn’t the smart Ibo people just take it over and fix it.
Answer—because IQ smarts is not the same as power smarts.
The other Nigerian tribes were better fighting and seizing and maintaining power.
Those tribes had social structures that discouraged exceptional people in their tribes from producing anything—because the culture required distributing goods among the tribe. (Today we call it socialism or communism—but it existed for centuries or even longer in Nigeria.)
IQ testing be raciss of course!
Genetics are important.
But you can say the same about government, religion, culture, etc.
The Russians are intelligent. But let's be real. Their country is a gas station with nuclear weapons. That's it.
I don’t blame you, I understand that talking about IQ and race and so forth is painful. It’s not pretty, and the programming to not discuss. It is pretty powerful so I understand.
Smart people tend to value education.
That’s absolutely true.
You have to remember these numbers are posted as the average. The distribution (shape of the bell curve) may be more important. Also consider as well how the various nations provide opportunities and employ people according to their intellectual abilities.
Many different types of intelligence. I prefer the European way of thinking. The intelligence that took us to the moon.
The USA is weighed down mightily by certain groups. It’s a very bi- or tri-modal distribution.
Seems inaccurate and possibly a piece of propaganda.
Israel would be another country with multi-modal IQ distribution like the USA.

I believe there’s a distinct difference between:
* Raw intelligence
* Being “educated”
* Being “wise”
You can be:
* Average intelligence, but extremely “educated”
* High intelligence, but not “well educated”
* Very wise, without being particularly intelligent or educated
And/or a combination of any. Finding somebody that is of high intelligence, high education, and very wise is extremely rare. Even more rare, near impossible, would be also extremely pretty ;)
I know many “very educated” folks that aren’t that smart. I’ve met some that show very high intelligence that never went to college. So, when I see “IQ tests” that do nothing but ask general knowledge questions, I don’t consider it a measure of IQ - any idiot can memorize a bunch of facts.
To me, true intelligence is more about being able to identify relationships of apparently disconnected things, where there’s actually something there that nobody else sees. Scientific breakthroughs are often formed when somebody with varying experiences, along with listening to the experiences of others, is able to put ideas together in a new way because of their unique background.
Because mud people outbreed smart people.
Europe is about to fall.
The same thing may happen to USA, especially if we elect Gavin Newsom in 2028.
No wonder Elon Musk is in a hurry to build that Mars base. We may have a window that is open right now. But it won't stay open that long.
It took the Roman Empire a couple of centuries to collapse. Due to technology, it won't take us that long.
So in a couple of decades, you're going to have all the advantages if you're a barbarian.
Nothing to due with IQ or building rocket ships lol.
