I kinda figured it was a franchisee vs Corporate Hilton.
Hilton doesn’t seem like the type of company(to me anyway) to publicly pull this kind of crap. Especially when I am sure the Feds Use Hilton a lot.
I agree. Money talks. It was ideological. Not to say that cannot happen at the corporate level, because it does.
But this one seemed so flagrant the corporate couldn’t ignore the franchise behavior.
IT DOESN’T MATTER. FRANCHISES ARE SOLD WITH THEIR NAME ON IT. I WOULD DIRECT ALL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES TO DISCONTINUE USING HILTON AND/OR IT FRANCHISEES IN THE FUTURE. THAT WILL WAKE THEM UP!
They could just change the name to Ghilton, or hire some guy named Phil, call it the Philton.
Just need some sharpie markers and a little time to change all the logos and literature.
I usually stay exclusively at Hampton Inns.
Aw shucks. I didn’t know they were part of Hilton. I’m fine not staying at any Hilton based hotels or franchises. I’m past the point of any company issuing “apologies” when they get exposed.
meanwhile all the keyboard warriors on FR showed up with pitchforks and torches ready to boycott Hilton. You guys really need to calm to Fuck down and realize that corporate Brand and product management departments and PR teams address these sorts of things routinely. Most don’t make national news.
