Duffy needs to remove the rights of Californication to issue CDLs and revoke all CDLs issued from Californication. Some might say this will ruin the economy, but there are plenty of drivers with other state licenses that could fill the gap.

It may come to that. If California wants all their CDLs not recognized and continues their present course, they could be dealt with in similar manner as the rebellious southern states after the Civil War. I don't want to be sharing the road with unsafe big rigs.
Driverless trucks (like Waymo) are not that many years away. This could accelerate the move in that direction.
