Ireland: Police probing hate crime after antisemitic graffiti found on roads

Gardaí, the Irish police, have opened a hate crime investigation after antisemitic graffiti, including swastikas and the words “Jew” and “rat,” was sprayed on roads in Co Louth, the Irish Times reports.

Holocaust Awareness Ireland condemned the incident, saying the graffiti “repeats one of the most disturbing antisemitic caricatures deployed by Nazis in pre-war Germany.”

In a statement, the Garda confirmed it had received a report of criminal damage and is treating the case as a hate crime. It urged anyone with information to come forward.

The Garda has too much time on its hands. I suppose regular graffiti, or drunkards sicking up on the road, or spent condums, are just fine. But nooooo! Since it's something anti-Semitic, they're all randy to catch a "hate crime" perp. They're even "investigating" it. GMAFB. Anti-Semitic graffiti is just graffiti, generally inflicted on society by idiots. How many years will the poor sod get for it, anyway, even if the spinster cat lady across the way grasses on him. Was it at least visually interesting?

Ireland, while officially neutral, unofficially sided with the Nazis in WW II, and I think they even had their own fuhrer, similar to Moseley in Britain. I forget his name. But the Irish would make lousy Nazis. They drink too much, and brawl too much, and can't goose step in a straight line.

So we just hated them from afar, and nowadays we occasionally write something nasty on the roads, so we do, to discourage them from coming, now that we’re letting all sorts in./just a friendly tweaking of speaking styles. Not a hate crime.

Well this silly nonsense about graffiti seems to be “very important” enough. The “fat pig” at least had a symmetrical face back then. Nowadays, she’s all lopsided, probably from eating too much rug.
