Somebody needs to do some basic arithmetic here.

If they take the total number of Somali-language child day care centers that are licensed in Minneapolis and multiply it by the capacity for each day care center, I think they will find that there are centers for more children than the entire Somali population of Minneapolis!

The same thing is apparent in Washington state.

There are 539 childcare centers in Washington state that list Somali as the primary language.

Has anybody even asked the basic question of whether the market can support that many children in day care at all?

I'm not even talking about whether 539 Somali day care centers X 50 children per center = 26,590 Somali children in Washington state is even a real thing when the entire Washington Somali population is under 20,000 people.
