A fantastic story line for an early baseball player.
Sad. An early professional athlete who could not manage money.
Traded for Christy Mathewson. Rusie won 0 games for Reds, Mathewson won 372 for Giants (and 1 for Reds at the end of his career.) Almost as lopsided as 100,000 for Babe Ruth.
