One of the funniest sit coms was Dead Like Me (2003-2004). It was about grim reapers who collect souls just at the point of death. There were many hilarious ways people die. The show was quite philosophical too. It's available on streaming services.

“Dead Like Me” is very dark humor at its very best.

I would have loved to have seen another season or two of that series, even though I thought Mandy Patinkin “phoned-in” his initial episodes.
