It’s very nice to see the Christmas spirit is alive and well in China.
It’s interesting to see what appears to be some “capitalist decadence”, in what is still officially a communist country.

"China Projected to Become World's Largest Christian Nation"
"Multiple independent scholars project that China will become the world's largest Christian nation by 2030, with an estimated 247 million believers, surpassing the United States, Brazil, and Mexico"
"Pew Research Center calculated 68 million Christians in China in 2010. Other independent estimates range between 100 and 130 million believers. "

In Germany, EU the Islamic terrorists would have firebombed it long ago.
Currently, China is much safer for Christians than Europe is.

China is currently more capitalist than Europe is, whether China is communist or not.

I guess this is a European outfit, since no European countries are included, DESPITE the fact that they lock up Christians who pray in public.

No, it just doesn’t compare. Britain is worse than France, is my guess, but they don’t raid house churches in Britain.

It doesn’t have to compare. Either the government HATES Christians or not and if they act on that hatred, then yes, they should be listed as well.

Merry Christmas!
Mexico? Seems surprising. Also, I seem to recall headlines of crackdowns on Christians in China. Either my perceptions are wrong or some of these posts are wrong. A topic for future consideration.

You cannot be serious. They are raiding churches and arresting people for their Christian faith.

Yep, just more European propaganda, like when they STILL claim to have free elections and free speech, when they’re no better than Russia and approaching China’s level of control over their people.

You’ve made your point, I’ve made mine. Maybe France ranks 51 and Britain 52. Anyhow, Pew Research has what you’re looking for, but it is older, so that will make you happy.

We’re more communist than China. The essence of communism is no private property. They gave that up a long time ago.
I strongly recommend anyone that hasn’t been there to go there for a week or two. It’ll be an enjoyable vacation, an eye opener that will dispel most of your preconceived notions about China.

They have been arresting people for praying in the street in London.
In fact the governments in Europe have been waging war on Christians for quite a while.

I did not see a nativity scene displayed. It looks pretty secular, I did see one, I think, for sale in a stall as the guy making the video walked by. Also part of the market is in front of the old church on the Bund which appears to be open.
