He is homeless noore. He will get 3 square meals and shelter, a gym, library etc during his life sentence.
Yes he will get all that, but you forgot to mention, he will get the best medical care money can buy.
If he skates due to a mental deficiency or mental illness he can get out with mandatory counseling after some time in a restricted facility.
If he is convicted he probably will get out on parole or a technicality much earlier than the full sentence. The many true crime books about serial killers I used to have (get rid of them a few months ago because I was dwelling too much on that) detail how almost none of them go to jail for the rest of their lives. Even the Manson women came up for parole as did the ones who attempted to kill Presidents. Not all get out, though.
Sure of one thing: that poor, innocent woman minding her own business was stabbed to death. She is dead.
