Russian Missile Strike on Odesa Kills 8
Newsmax ^ | December 20, 2025

Posted on 12/20/2025 10:58:25 AM PST by Navy Patriot

A Russian missile strike on port infrastructure in Odesa in southern Ukraine killed eight people and wounded 27, Ukraine’s emergency service said Saturday, as a a Kremlin envoy was set to travel to Florida for talks on a U.S.-proposed plan to end the nearly four-year war,

The discussions are part of the Trump administration's monthslong push for peace that also included meetings with Ukrainian and European officials in Berlin earlier this week. Ukraine's chief negotiator said late Friday that his delegation had completed separate meetings in the U.S. with American and European partners.

Meanwhile, European Union leaders agreed on Friday to provide a massive interest-free loan to Ukraine to meet its military and economic needs for the next two years.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said much will depend on the U.S. posture after discussions with the Russians.

Speaking at a press conference in Kyiv with Portuguese Prime Minister Luís Montenegro, Zelenskyy said that "the key question remains how the United States responds after consultations with the Russians. At this point, I honestly don’t know, but I will know later today."

Some of those wounded in Odesa were on a bus at the center of the strike late Friday, the emergency service said in a Telegram post. Trucks caught fire in the parking lot and cars were also damaged.

The port was struck with ballistic missiles, said Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa region.

Moscow did not immediately acknowledge reports of the attack. The Russian Defense Ministry said Saturday that over the previous day, it had struck unspecified "transport and storage infrastructure used by the Ukrainian armed forces," along with energy facilities and those supplying Kyiv's war effort.

Maybe if you would stop accusing anybody who has an opinion that differs from yours of being “Putinistas”

Many, including YOU, don't have opinions. All your kind does is to insult and personally attack those that YOU disagree with. Your projection knows no bounds.

RockyDiPutin doesn't have opinions related to the subject at hand; all he has is attempted belittling and diminishing attacks; no real content that can be considered cohesive and intelligent contributions to the whatever subject is at hand.

Putinistas is an apt description for those that think like Putin or support him.

or “Russians” or things along that line,

What's wrong with being Russian, if you think like one and support the Russian leadership. The only thing missing is the home that would have the address inside Russia.

Baloney. YOu have never tried to be reasonable. Who celebrated the most and with images that attempted to diminish my person, when I was suspended a few weeks back. You and others like you were the biggest posters in that thread that celebrated so 'loudly'. Were you being 'reasonable' then?

people would have tried to have reasonable discussions with you.

You don't know how to be reasonable, and your cohorts (you know who they are) are just like YOU.

Many of us got tired of the barrage of insults and false accusations early on in this thing and stopped taking you seriously.

I only respond in kind. If you would stop your rants and insults, I can do likewise.

And why did you feel the need to respond to my posts? You had said that you wanted me to stop posting to you, so, YOU first. Mind you that, when I respond to something, it's because I disagree with what's been posted, and not necessarily related to the poster.

So, do you agree with Rocco when he attempts to relate me with that long-dead and inconsequential 'adorno'? He dug up that adorno from the depths of the internet in order to try to insult me and to try to make me into a communist. Rocco and NavyPatriot have done the same thing, and you applauded both of them. If you agree with their attempted insults, you are not acting as you preach.

“The Soviet Union is the same as the Russian Federation.”

You mean when the Soviet Union was started by globalists who funded the overthrow of the traditional Russian government, replacing it with something meant to oppress the Russian people?

And when the Soviet Union was killed because the Soviets were merely low IQ globalists?

Two centuries ago is not ancient.

The Russians supported the United States in its major wars because the Russian people have the same traditional values as Americans.

We still have these values, and so do the Russian people.

This is why our Great President Trump is working with Putin through backchannels to kill globalism.

And to answer your question, totalitarians tend to imprison everyone.

No, Russia supported the United States in our Revolutionary War against the tyrants of Britain. BECAUSE WE SHARE THE SAME TRADITIONAL VALUES.

And Russia supported the United States in our civil war which was orchestrated by bankers and other Ne-er Do Wells.

In my view, Trump and Putin are secretly working together, and the war games you reference is theater. Remember, most of what we see cannot be taken at face value. Much is hidden for strategic purposes.

And much of what we see in the Ukraine are false flags perpetrated by the installed Ukrainian government meant to blame Russia.

The Ukrainian people are courageous. But the “government” of the Ukraine are all liars and cowards.

“In my view, Trump and Putin are secretly working together, and the war games you reference is theater. Remember, most of what we see cannot be taken at face value.”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><

Well… you don’t seem to hold Trump in very high esteem. Claiming that he is secretly collaborating with America’s worst enemy, the neo-Stalinist FSB regime under Putin, isn’t merely unkind, it’s explosive. A secret collaboration with Russia’s intelligence apparatus would amount to nothing less than TREASON. That is the gravest crime an American can commit against the United States. Full stop.

Thank God, Trump isn’t part of your innocent fantasy. And I have proof of that right here:

Here are all the anti-Russia actions Trump has done (the following list is the short version I have):

Arming Ukraine: The U.S. provided lethal military aid, including Javelin anti-tank missiles, to support Ukraine in countering Russian-backed separatists.

Rejection of Russia’s Annexation of Crimea: Trump’s administration consistently rejected Russia’s annexation of Crimea and supported Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

Imposition of Sanctions: The Trump administration imposed several rounds of sanctions on Russia for actions like election interference, annexation of Crimea, and human rights abuses.

Expulsion of Russian Diplomats: In response to the Skripal poisoning in the UK, the U.S. expelled 60 Russian diplomats and closed the Russian consulate in Seattle.

Support for European Allies: The Trump administration reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Eastern European countries against potential Russian aggression.

Withdrawal from INF Treaty: The U.S. under Trump officially withdrew from the INF Treaty, citing Russia’s violations.

Increased NATO Military Spending: Trump pressured NATO allies to increase defense spending to enhance the alliance’s capabilities against potential Russian aggression.

Condemnation of Nord Stream 2: Trump criticized the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project between Russia and Germany, expressing concerns over energy dependence and geopolitical leverage.

Accusations of Russian Cyberattacks: Trump’s administration publicly accused Russia of cyberattacks, including election interference and targeting critical infrastructure.

Suspension of INF Treaty Compliance: Before formally withdrawing from the INF Treaty, the U.S. suspended obligations under the treaty in response to Russia’s alleged violations.

Support for the Three Seas Initiative: The Trump administration expressed support for the Three Seas Initiative, promoting cooperation among Central and Eastern European countries to reduce dependence on Russian energy.

Presence in the Black Sea: The U.S. increased its naval presence in the Black Sea region to support allies and counter potential Russian aggression.

Magnitsky Act Enforcement: The Trump administration continued to enforce the Magnitsky Act, imposing sanctions on Russian officials accused of human rights abuses and corruption.

Expansion of U.S. Liquefied Natural Gas Exports: Trump aimed to increase U.S. LNG exports to Europe to decrease European reliance on Russian gas.

Sanctions on Russian Oligarchs: The U.S. imposed sanctions on Russian oligarchs with close ties to the Kremlin.

Support for Georgia and Moldova: The Trump administration reaffirmed support for Georgia and Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

U.S. Cyber Command Actions: The U.S. Cyber Command took actions to disrupt Russian cyber operations.

Energy Diplomacy in Eastern Europe: Trump pursued energy diplomacy to promote energy diversification in Eastern Europe, reducing reliance on Russian gas.

U.S. Troop Deployment to Poland: The U.S. announced the deployment of 1,000 troops to Poland to counter Russian aggression.

Opposition to Russia’s Syria Policy: The U.S. opposed Russia’s military intervention in Syria and supported the opposition to President Bashar al-Assad.

Russian Private Military Companies Sanctions: The U.S. imposed sanctions on
Russian private military companies, including Wagner Group.

Support for Belarusian Democracy: The Trump administration supported pro-democracy efforts in Belarus following disputed elections and protests.

Sanctions on Russian Banks: The U.S. imposed sanctions on Russian banks, including Sberbank and VTB Bank, for their roles in supporting Russian actions.

Export Controls on Technology: The U.S. tightened export controls on certain technology items to prevent their use in Russia’s military and intelligence activities.

Increased Military Aid to Eastern European Allies: The U.S. increased military aid and training to Eastern European countries, enhancing their defense capabilities.

Opposition to Russia’s Annexation of South Ossetia: The Trump administration opposed Russia’s recognition of South Ossetia’s independence from Georgia.

Support for Montenegro’s NATO Membership: The Trump administration supported Montenegro’s accession to NATO, despite Russian opposition.

Criticism of Russia’s Nuclear Weapons Development: Trump criticized Russia’s development of new nuclear weapons and delivery systems.

Support for Ukraine’s Reforms: The U.S. supported Ukraine’s reform efforts and anti-corruption measures.

Expanding the Black Sea Maritime Security Initiative: The U.S. expanded the initiative to enhance security cooperation among Black Sea countries.

Opposition to Russia’s Actions in Venezuela: The U.S. opposed Russia’s support for Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro during the political crisis.

U.S. Embassy Move in Israel: While not directly related to Russia, Trump’s decision to move the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem drew criticism from Russia and other countries.

Strengthening U.S. Cyber Defenses: The Trump administration worked to improve U.S. cybersecurity to counter potential Russian cyber threats.

U.S. Support for International Organizations: The U.S. supported international organizations that took actions against Russia, such as the UN and OPCW.

Criticism of Russia’s Intervention in Ukraine’s Presidential Elections: The U.S. condemned Russia’s interference in Ukraine’s elections.

Sanctions on Russian Intelligence Officers: The U.S. imposed sanctions on Russian intelligence officers involved in cyberattacks.

Refusal to Recognize Abkhazia’s Independence: The Trump administration did not recognize Abkhazia as an independent state, aligning with Georgia’s position.

Support for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue: The U.S. supported the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, which Russia opposed due to its close ties with Serbia.

Support for Eastern Partnership Countries: The Trump administration supported the Eastern Partnership countries’ sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russian pressure.

I called this for the last several years. Ukraine is going to be left a land locked playground for money laundering, “rebuilding” scams and there will not be a single man that will be able to defend Ukraine. All the natural resources and fertilizer, rare earth and oil/nat gas will be owned by BlackRock, Vanguard, State Street and the legislators/bureaucrats and the families of the United States government that wanted this to happen.

Make a list of all the Ukraine supporters and you’ll find the bloody hands of Ukraine parasites.

Why would we ignore our historic friendship and alliance with Russia?

Oh, it’s because the cabal doesn’t want us to remember it. Because the alliance of the United States with Russia is more powerful than the globalist coalition.

All conflicts in the world now are part of this one big war, the only war that matters: normal people vs the globalists.

Two centuries ago is not ancient.

By today's standards, it's ancient. Things that occurred 2 centuries ago might not even get started in today's world.

2.5 centuries ago (give or take), the U.S. didn't exist. Now it's the greatest country that ever existed. So, going back 2 or 3 centuries, what transpired since then was inconceivable, therefore, the ancient history is not relevant to the current world. History does teach many major lessons, but 'friendships' of the past cannot be considered as still relevant.
<

The Russians have been our enemy since WW2, no matter what occurred in 'ancient' history.

The Russian people do not understand what it means to live under the same freedoms we enjoy in the U.S. Living under tyrannies or under dictatorships. does not allow the people to understand how other nations/governments operate.
