As the manhunt for the perpetrator of a deadly mass shooting at Brown University enters its 5th day, the prestigious institution’s president, Christina Paxson, is facing mounting criticism for her response to the crisis.
In a Tuesday press conference, law enforcement and university officials had very little to tell the public in regard to any leads or potential motives revealed by their investigation into the shooting that left two students dead and Paxon sparked criticism online over an answer where she discussed gun violence.
"The primary point that I wanted to address before we get to questions is that Brown is deeply committed to the safety, security, and well-being of our community. And I’ve been deeply saddened to see people questioning that," Paxson told reporters amid questions about why the school has been unable to provide video of the shooter from inside the building or any concrete information about a suspect.

"Paxson is an economist who has served as Brown’s 19th president since 2012 after previously serving as the dean of the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
Paxson earned just over $3 million dollars in 2023, according to the Brown Daily Herald, which represented a roughly 74% increase in pay from the previous year and includes various compensation arrangements in addition to her base salary of about 1.3 million.
Since her hiring in 2012, Paxson’s pay has increased over 700%, the outlet reported."

I am sick of these morons earning $3M for doing a $75K job. If you want to produce something to earn that kind of money, fine. But if you want to sit around twiddling your thumbs and going to meetings in academia, the top person should earn about $120K.

I agree with you. Plenty of stuff out there right now regarding this shooting which make zero sense. Rumors and rumblings abound because of the lack of real information.
The Chief of Police’s son or nephew is a convicted drug dealer/smuggler (https://www.rimonthly.com/the-chief-the-sergeant-and-their-nephew/) and he actually gave a portion of his report in friggin’ Spanish the other day.
This Mustafa kid, is he even real? If so, where is he? Was his online presence at Brown really scrubbed?
Were the cameras on Brwon really removed because the administration didn’t want ICE to use them to search for illegals? That’s huge if true.
Rumors are also going around stating the reason why there are rumblings Ella was targeted, is because she was shot ten times in the head. Once again, huge if true.
Is the FBI tamping this down to keep a lid on the Color Revolution folks have been talking about recently?
I’d like to hear from Ella’s parents and kids who were actually in the room with her, not from this clown show running the “investigation.”
You can bet your ass that if the FBI is involved there is skullduggery afoot because the FBI is crooked as a dog’s hind leg. The girl was probably marked to be killed. And we have has two potential leaders eliminated and nothing has been done about it. Nor will be done about it. oh, may or may not go to jail but those who Masterminded both assassinations roam wild and free.
