Taylor Swift's crew break down in tears as they find out she is giving them '$197million' in bonuses
Daily Mail ^ | Dec 13, 2025 | Hannah McDonald

The superstar, 36, made history after grossing a record $2billion in ticket sales for her career-spanning, 21-month Eras Tour - which consisted of 149 shows in 21 countries.

As a reward to her team, Taylor is said to have handed out more than $197million in bonuses to everyone working on the tour.

The Lover singer is notably a benevolent boss, and the moment she gives the mammoth bonuses to the performers and crew, complete with personal notes, is shown in her new Disney+ docuseries, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour/The End of an Era.

Those who received a bonus included truck drivers, caterers, instrument techs, merch team, lighting, sound, production staff and assistants, carpenters, dancers, band, security, choreographers, pyrotechnics, riggers, hair, make-up, wardrobe, physical therapists and video team members.

In a scene from the docuseries, one crew member reads aloud a personal note from Taylor revealing the unknown individual bonus amount - which is bleeped out.

Reading the card aloud, a crew member called Cam reads: 'Dearest Cam, we've travelled the world like we set out to do. We've dazzled the crowds but we've missed family too.

'My full gratitude doesn't come from a bank but here's a... [bleep] dollars just to say thanks. Love Taylor.'

The crew are all seen covering their faces at hearing the amount, with many breaking down in tears.

One dancer reportedly almost passed out when opening his letter, according to The Sun.

It comes two years after it was revealed that she shelled out $100,000 in bonuses for her truck drivers, who were responsible for hauling her equipment around the country amid the US leg of her tour.

That’s an average of $19,700 per person. Although it sounds like some got a lot more. Whatever the case definitely generous of her to give them a bonus.

I'll bet it came out to right under $19,000 per person.

"Annual Exclusion: You can gift up to $19,000 per person, per year, to an unlimited number of recipients without triggering any gift tax or a reporting requirement."

Add Beck and Gutfeld and Levin and Carlson and Kelly to that list of yours.

“B) Knowing the music industry with a very long and proven history, many will be dead within six months.“

Ditto. That very idea crossed my mind.

Excellent point. ,

We know that all of her finance people reviewed the financial impact, tax impact on employees etc, of giving all this money to the employees , before they did it.

“149 shows in 21 countries.“

Yikes! I wonder how much rest in between all of that I’m getting an idea why lip syncing may be a thing…

I don't think she lip syncs. There's a lot of videos out there of her forgetting lyrics and generally messing up. It adds to her charm.

Anyhow, I was listening to an interview with Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins and he was talking about how the live tour industry estimated that Taylor Swift could've sold out 900 NFL stadium shows. That's what the demand was.

She really is a force like we've never seen.

Maybe people like Rush are generous with staff but they just don’t advertise it.

Yeah, I really enjoy his podcast. And while he generally doesn't discuss politics, I suspect he's one of us.

I mean, he runs a wrestling league. He knows who his fans are.

“Why do I get the feeling this dancer is not a heterosexual?”

Maybe it was the string of pearls he was clutching in his hand as he toppled on to the fainting couch.

...so far done nothing to advance the causes that made them wealthy beyond their dreams. And you know this how? Because they aren't (weren't in Rush's case)out blowing their horn about it? You know, scripture says to give in secret (yes, I'm paraphrasing), not to brag about it.

some on “our side” like Rush, Hannity, etc who have accumulated great fortunes have so far done nothing to advance the causes that made them wealthy beyond their dreams.

Are you serious? Taylor Swift doesn't even come close to the philanthropy of Rush Limbaugh.

Rush Limbaugh's Annual Leukemia & Lymphoma Cure-A-Thon raised more than $50 million dollars for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, with much of the donations being matched by himself.

Then there was the letter signed by all the US Democrat senators condemning him for using the phrase “phony soldiers” on his program was sold on eBay for a record $2.1 million. Which he matched with his own dollars and contributed it to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation,(Total: $4.2 million) a non-profit that provides scholarships and other assistance to the children of Marines and federal law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.

Then there was the $100,000 donated to help the survivors of the Joplin, Missouri tornado back in 2011. That did not include the thousands of dollars he handed out to the vendors who were on site for the fund raising.

Then there was the additional $5 million that was donated to Frank Siller's Tunnel to Towers foundation back in 2019.

Hopefully I misinterpreted your statement which may have been misstated....

They were her employees, so there is just about no way she can count this as a gift rather than pay. I have even been hit by the IRS for a $50 Amazon gift card from my company.

Now the good news: since this is likely counted as a legitimate business expense, Swift will now deduct $197 million at a 37% rate so will pay $73 million less in income tax. If her employees pay at a marginal rate of 22%, that still nets about $30 million less for goverment's greedy hand.
