On Saturday morning, The Gateway Pundit reported on the tremendous progress of Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, 24.
Wolfe was patrolling alongside Spec. Sarah Beckstrom, 20, when a gunman opened fire on them. Beckstrom succumbed to her injuries the following day.
Last week, West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey noted, “His parents report that his head wound is slowly healing and that he’s beginning to ‘look more like himself.’”
On Friday, the West Virginia National Guard provided an update on social media, noting that Wolfe is reaching new milestones in his recovery, including being able to breathe on his own.
His move from the hospital to an inpatient rehab facility was also confirmed following an update from his medical team.
Dr. Jeffrey Mai, a MedStar neurosurgeon, noted, “He is now breathing on his own and can stand with assistance — important milestones that reflect his strength and determination. Based on these improvements, he is now ready to transition from acute care to inpatient rehabilitation as the next step in his recovery journey.”
Wolfe’s family chose not to disclose the location of his rehabilitation.
Reporter Nick Sortor said, “Per Andrew’s mom Melody, ‘our boy is going to recover.'”
“Andy can’t yet speak, but he was able to give his mom a kiss and reacting to funny pictures shown to him by his friends. What a miracle.”

Thank God, and prayers up to his full recovery and support.
Now he can model the rest of his life on Paul Kersey.
I hope they have armed military guards for his protection.
Wonderful News !!! I too pray this Guardsman has a full recovery. In Jesus name is prayed. Amen.
Praise God!
God has a plan for him, as he does for our president.
Praying for him - what’s really sick is that those who complain about us blowing up drug smugglers and deporting illegal criminals haven’t said a word about what happened to these two patriots
Its going to be a good Christmas for his family!
