I believe they have many as video feeds on their website. I hope they got rid of levin.
To: Brian Griffin
Thank you for this list. Andrea Chenier and La Fille du Regiment are underrated. Go see those.

So many liberties with the Magic Flute.

They made a stupid blunder when they drove Anna Netrebko away. Not only did they lose an extraordinary and magnificent singer, but they publicize their own foolishness.
I will definitely be watching
I PURITANI
MADAMA BUTTERFLY
DON GIOVANNI
LES TROYENS
TRISTAN UND ISOLDE (I'm skeptical)
LA GIOCONDA
DON GIOVANNI and
LA SONNAMBULA
and will definitely not be watching
PORGY AND BESS or
EUGENE ONEGIN (ick)
Probably not
THE MAGIC FLUTE (I love it but don't like abridged or in English) or
HANDEL AT THE MET (love Händel, but this doesn't look promising)
Thanks for posting this, Brian.

Maybe you’re right. I don’t know either. I’ll give ‘em a try. Thanks T.

I prefer Mozart operas. The Don is my favorite.
To: Brian Griffin
So, how did you get into classical music?

“EUGENE ONEGIN (ick)”
Agreed! IIRC, my friend and I left after the 1st Act. Years and years ago.
I’m no opera buff, but was raised on classical music via WQXR, then “the radio station of the New York Times”. It was the only radio station my father permitted!

Andrea Chenier was one of my mother's favorites. My late wife and I saw a production of it a few years ago on the Met Live in HD. Very underrated.
I was also introduced to La Fille du Regiment several years ago via the Met Live in HD. If you can find it, stream the version with Juan Diego Flores and Natalie Dessay.
