Promotions can justify big increases. If the previous EA to the HC made upwards of $90k, the new one would be paid along those lines.

He stalked her after that then, when it all came out he was fired, went to the now ex-side piece's home, broke in, retrieved a knife from her kitchen, threatened her, then dropped the knife and fled on foot to a nearby church where he was arrested.
Good summary—the only additional detail I saw was that he threatened to kill himself and his mistress after he broke in to her home.
(Obviously the threat was to kill her first.)

This was also a couple of crazy weeks for him (at home and at work) as pieces of the story were leaking over the Internet—the mistress seems to be the source behind those leaks.

The U of Michigan sports bosses are probably sighing with relief they have an excuse that doesn’t make them look bad.
Local Michigan news says they believe the university is now off the hook for the money payout to the fired coach’s huge contract clause.

A “for cause” termination means the coach violated specific clauses in his contract, which typically voids the university’s obligation to pay the remaining salary or buyout.
