Diana here: LONG article on all the pros and cons. Also touches on the 'heavy metals' found in some sources. The chocolate bars they're promoting are at the link with sources; most are grocery store-available. Looks like 70% dark is the winner!
H/T to Hardastarboard. :)
“Dietitians”
You mean the people that OVERSAW the Obesity Epidemic and still refuse to tell overweight people to stop eating carbs?

To be fair, carbs are necessary for people who are active.
Which is all the skinny people telling you that carbs are necessary.
If you sit on the couch all day, the solution is bacon.
My wife pasted this to the inside of one of our kitchen cabinets. On it are pictures of three humans. The first is muscular man wearing furs and walking holding a spear.
The second is a thin/athletic walking modern man.
The third is an obese man holding a pie and an ice cream cone.
The quote on the top of the picture says:
Don’t blame the Steak for what the Sugar did.
I might get some and I’ll need a gallon of milk to go with it.
My two sisters-in-law are registered dieticians. They dragged me and my wife off to a dieticians convention years ago. I never saw so many overweight and out of shape people in one place at one time. (Yes, I stood outside the conference room...the dieticans were the ones I was seeing not other slugs at the hotel.
Then I realized it was the dieticians who went from eggs being “natures most nearly perfect food” and milk being good for you to them being evil (and maybe now being not so bad.)
I wonder about the ethics of the two nitwits who wrote the article which is little more than an advertisement for HU products.
I’ve learned that most dark chocolate is still full of sugar. I had originally gone dark for a lighter dose of sugar, but it sabotaged me.

“To be fair, carbs are necessary for people who are active.”
Dr. Noakes, who wrote a book on nutrition for athletes and is one himself actually did measurements on athletes...no difference in performance between the standard carb-loading and no carbs.
“Thank goodness you didn’t go to a psychiatrist convention.”
No kidding. It really does take one to know one! lol.
I just threw a clove in my morning coffee today to clean the germs in my mouth.
Idiotic dieticians with their “low fat” diets have destroyed the health of millions.
I would buy the darkest chocolate possible for husband, and this for myself, Gems, still dark chocolate but far sweeter:
The solution is always bacon!
The "winner" in post #2 claims to have no refined sugar. So, is it raw sugar or another sweetener?
Th one in #16 says no cane sugar. Beet sugar maybe?
Honestly, I never noticed - but this is from their website:
“Hu uses unrefined, organic coconut sugar as its primary sweetener in its chocolate products.
This sweetener is sourced from the sap of the coconut palm tree and is used in place of refined sugars, cane sugar, and artificial sweeteners.
The company emphasizes using naturally derived sweeteners, including organic honey, maple syrup, and fruit or vegetable-based alternatives like dates and figs, when appropriate.”
