You want to catalyze an ancient curse? This is how you do it. Can Black Adam be far off?

article:
“ancient Egyptians were found to be most closely related to ancient people from the Middle East and Western Asia.” I guess this means that the Pyramids were not built by African Negroes flying Sopwith Camels.

Why are you posting old news from 2017?
To: Governor Dinwiddie
Depends which Egyptian kingdom you are talking about and which pyramids.
The time between the Old kingdom and cleopatra was over 3,000 years.
In fact, Cleopatra lives closer to us in time than the time the great pyramids were built. The Egyptians had archaeologists who studied ancient Egyptians.
In the middle, there were, indeed, various southern African kingdoms.

Cleopatra was Greek. Most of the ancient Egyptians were Greek. Negroes did not fly biplanes around the pyramids. Well actually they did until the White man stole their technology. White man always trying to keep the Black man down.

I’m sure it will be a politically correct study.

The Greeks took over near the end (~0BC) — the pyramids were ancient by then.

and the trans-Saharan slave trade that began approximately 1,300 years ago. What could the white man have done to start the trans-Saharan slave trade 1300 years ago?
I will need a grant from Uncle Sugar to prove the Euroweenies guilty.

I saw Liz Taylor and Richard Burton in Cleopatra. That makes me an expert.

Sure, I agree.
I’m just saying that, during various parts of the 3,000+ year history of Egypt pretty much all races (excepting perhaps East Asians) had their day in Egypt, including blacks (and Greeks and almost everyone else).
The old kingdom were North African (basically the same an Egyptian/Levantine peoples today), much later, Ramses II was more white, with red hair and more Levantine.
The southern Africans (Nubians from Sudan) had their day circa 700 BC, which, interestingly, corresponds to the rapid downfall of the ancient kingdom before ultimately falling to Greece/Rome.

Actually, Macedonian armies (who were Greek) under Alexander the Great conquered Egypt around 320 B.C. Alex was crowned Pharaoh, and thus began the last, Greek, dynasty.

Thanks, I appreciate the correction. I unclearly meant that the dynasty ended around 0BC (more like 30BC) with the main point being that the pyramids were built 1000s of years earlier, not by Greeks.

“BCE” has been around for a while. I think I first encountered it in 1970.

Alexander's conquest of Egypt was a little earlier--he died in 323. Ptolemy, one of his generals, began the Ptolemaic dynasty, of which Cleopatra was the last ruler.
Duane Roller in his biography of Cleopatra says that the identity of her mother is unknown, but he thinks she was a member of the Egyptian religious belief. That may be why she learned the Egyptian language, the first Ptolemy to do so. Her paternal grandmother's identity is also unknown.
