Only one American woman in politics makes Forbes most powerful list

Only one American woman in politics, White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, made Forbes’s 2025 list of most powerful women.

Wiles, the White House’s first female chief of staff, is ranked 66th on the Forbes list, behind figures like pop star Taylor Swift, television host Oprah Winfrey and General Motors CEO Mary Barra. But the fact that Wiles, a veteran political consultant who also served as Trump’s campaign co-chair in 2024, is the only one on the list who works in American politics highlights the low number of women in powerful positions within the federal government.

Other women in the Trump administration, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins and Education Secretary Linda McMahon, did not make the list…

Forbes ranked the European Union’s Ursula von der Leyen at the top of this year’s list, with President of the European Central Bank Christine Lagarde right behind her.

^ They forgot to include Tulsi Gabbard.

That’s real nice for Ms Wiles, but here lately, I wish she was not so close or influential to the President.
Some of her recommended people for open places of leadership in this administration have not worked out.

“Susie Wiles...”

This woman has a STELLAR resume, all the way around. Glad she’s being recognized, even if it is via Forbes.

Interesting take! Who were the ones she recommended? All I know about her is that she’s from Florida (as are Bondi, Rubio, etc…)

She is doing a horrible job, as many men before her have done horrible jobs.

Can’t we get rid of her yet?

The debacle with Comey and Letietia has been a mess. Don’t know if that has anything to do with Suzie.

I'm sure Susie Wiles has her shortcomings, but the above situation is in keeping with an unfortunate pattern that Trump has when it comes to choosing legal teams. He had some great lawyers help him weather through the law-fare heading into 2024. But during the 2020 election showdown, much of his team just...seemed to feed the chaos. Maybe not intentionally, they just weren't the best equipped: Jenna Ellis, as well as Lin Wood, Sidney Powell?

Sometimes, I think he goes for the good looking women over the pit bull men. I’m not saying they aren’t good lawyers, but results haven’t been great from what I can see.

Trump is talented, but it was God who put him over the edge to win the election. Left solely to his own instincts and devices, Trump would not be where he is today. Grateful God works through character flaws and all!

But you’re right this case against James Comey/Letitia James was squandered!
