The Cadillac F1 team is just months away from its 2026 season debut. And while the luxury marque already released a single rendering of what its race car will look like next year, that blue livery isn't representative of what will be seen on track. In fact, the Caddy's true colors are still under wraps, but fans won't have to wait much longer to see them - just until Super Bowl Sunday.
Announced in a post on social media, the Cadillac F1 team will reveal its livery in an ad spot during the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 8th, 2026. There's no teaser for what the race cars will look like, as the announcement simply shows the Caddy crest overlaid on a black and white image of a football.

The Cadillac F1 team is supported by sponsors whiskey distiller Jim Beam and clothing brand Tommy Hilfiger, so it's likely that the race cars will carry both companies' colors. The Cadillac crest itself is emblazoned in gold, red, and blue, so the race car could also sport those primary hues, too - just like the Cadillac V-Series.R in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
"It gives us a chance to introduce Cadillac Formula One team on a stage that reflects who we are," said Cadillac F1 team CEO Dan Towriss, speaking of the Super Bowl ad spot. "We're proud of our American heritage and we want to show up in a way that feels bold, innovative and distinctly ours. This is just the beginning, but it’s a moment I’m incredibly proud of."
Regardless of what the race cars look like, the Cadillac F1 team entries will harness Ferrari power at first. General Motors is approved as a power unit manufacturer, but its engines won't start rolling off the assembly line for a few seasons yet. Drivers Sergio "Checo" Pérez and Valtteri Bottas will pilot both of the luxury marque's entries.
Red Bull is working with Ford on their engine.
Sorry, I’m not sure. It was probably a 1991 year, 4 door sedan. But damn, that thing could go.
The engine development will take place near Hendrick Motorsports’ campus where Cadillac F1 owner TWG’s NASCAR team (Spire Motorsports) is a satellite. The engine folks will come from Cabarrus County, North Carolina (near Charlotte), and numerous staffers (Pageneaud, for example) are based there.
Choosing to launch on NBC is apropos. Comcast owns Sky F1, and the Apple coverage is the Sky broadcast. Also, they could launch it after Super Bowl Halftime because it is Apple sponsored.
Yes, I understand that — however I thought it was going to eventually be a RB only engine...I guess time will tell.
Thanks for the Cadillac post!
As a PS I think Honda’s involvement in F1 over the years has been odd...
Drive a BMW with comparable horsepower and pricing. You won't be nearly as impressed.
Audi purchased the Sauber team and is developing their own power unit. The engine development has been underway for two years. The team name will be Revolut Audi F1 Team. Audi does not think their power unit will be competitive at first.
maybe that’s my mix-up...
Many thanks for posting that, and for the link.
The Audi team is taking over an existing team. The Cadillac team is new so their two cars will take the grid from 20 to 22 cars.
I saw that Porsche was working with Red Bull on a 2026 power unit, but they seem to have dropped out. I think Red Bull wanted input and probably to add their name to the engine and Porsche wanted total control. So now Red Bull is working with Ford.
Regardless, the viewership of F1 will crash in the United States with the new iPPV media deal.
Apple media will be a no-go zone for me. I hope the highlights will be on Youtube.
